Stay and Remodel or Sell It and Move?

You want to make changes to your home, or maybe you want to sell it and find another one. Not sure what to do?  Starting with a consultation, we review and talk through what you want to accomplish. If you decide to stay, I redesign the existing floor plan, draw plans for the contractor to estimate and build. If you decide to sell, I make suggestions for getting it market ready, list it and market your house to sell, while helping you find another home (even a fixer-upper).

What I Can Do For You

Do you want to finish your basement, but what's the best arrangement of the rooms to get the most out of the space?  Do you want to make changes to the kitchen for better work space and more storage? Is your bathroom dated and while updating it, can it be enlarged or rearranged to add a larger shower or a linen closet? Do you have an awkward space you are not sure what to do with? You need more room because your family is growing; is it possible? Or your family is grown so should you make different use of the space you have or downsize by moving?

You need help with the space arrangement concept and to know your options. The best place to start is with a plan, a design.  At the beginning is the TIME for DESIGN. 

When remodeling, most homeowners do not need the expertise or expense of an architect, but they do need an expert in space planning and design.  This is where I come in.  Much like what an architect would do, I redesign the flow and function of your space and draw the plans from which either the Do-It-Yourselfers or a contractor will estimate and build (or demo and rebuild).  Having worked with architects eight years, and designing and drawing remodeling plans since establishing Design Time for Homes, Atlanta in 2001, I work with homeowners, contractors, investors, and Realtors in revealing a house's potential in flow and function. 

Perhaps you are contemplating selling your house and want to get it market ready.  What effective things can you be doing to maximize your resale value and minimize time on the market?
