AboutChild Developmental Play Center

Children's Play CenterBabies R Talking is a developmental play center designed by a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 18 years experience in early childhood development and intervention. Our mission is to bridge the gap of available services and information to parents of infants and toddlers of all abilities.  We seek to provide a space where parents can gather with their children in a supportive and nurturing play environment that fosters development.

Our Center has been carefully designed to meet the specific needs of children aged 0-3 years. Every toy/activity has been selected with your child's development and safety in mind. There are designated areas for infants who are not walking.  All of our infant toys, mats etc. are disinfected daily. We have rubber flooring in the play area which is slip resistant, mold/fungi resistant and best of all easy to keep clean.  We also offer a separate classroom/party room and Library/Resource Center.

AboutOur Philosophy

  • Parents are their children's first and most important educators.

  • Play is the special way in which young children learn about their world.

  • Play should be purposeful, developmentally appropriate and follow the child's lead.  Very young children do NOT require large expensive equipment to learn and have fun?  Materials should be simple and able to be used in a variety of ways to encourage creativity and learning.

  • All babies are special and have needs.

  • All parents are special and have needs.

  • All educators are special and have needs.

  • All communities are special and able to serve those needs with proper support.

  • Expertise on infant/toddler development and the potential issues that may impact it should be readily available to all families through natural settings.

  • Infants, toddlers and young children should NOT require a diagnosis to receive the benefits of the vast knowledge available on this most important phase of brain development.

  • Improving support and services to all families will dramatically reduce the impact on our public resources.
